We have received 6 million euro funding for purchasing new forestry machinery and expanding our fleet!

We are truly proud that our hard work and honest attitude has resulted in a successful cooperation with Swedbank and 6 million euro funding for purchasing new, specialized forestry equipment, thereby significantly strengthening our competitive position both in local and export markets.

“The funding we have received, which we have been gradually investing into company growth since the end of last year, allows us to do away with outsourcing and make our business more profitable, ensuring the highest income from forest management for our partners. The equipment we have purchased is already allowing us to plan our work more efficiently and ensure more sustainable forest management, since we can now perform any forestry work using only our own resources - from forest planting and cleaning, up to purchasing felling sites and properties, including production of energy wood chips,” says Artis Šteinbergs, the head of “Meža Enerģija”.

The quality of Meža Enerģijas operations and production is confirmed by internationally recognized and prestigious forestry certificates - FSC forest management and SBP sustainable biomass certificates, as well as the timber supply chain certificate FSC-CoC and SBE. In 2022 the company turnover reached 10 million euros, increasing by more than 6 million in comparison with 2021.
